Tuition and fees for medical, pharmacy and graduate studies students

Tuition and fees for medical, pharmacy and graduate studies students at NEOMED are established annually by our Board of Trustees.

Students will receive detailed notifications about charges and payment options before each term begins, ensuring transparency and convenience.

We have established flat-rate billing for the Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy, and charges by either flat rate or credit hour for the College of Graduate Studies.

Tuition and fees will appear in categories on a student’s tuition statement online in Student Self-Service.

More details

See a full, detailed list (PDF) of charges associated within each category listed in the accordion above.

Financial aid

Students are eligible for financial aid funding to cover their full cost of attendance.  Find your full cost of attendance details, which consists of tuition and fees, housing and food, books and supplies, transportation, personal expenses, and required credentialing.  You might decide to apply for more financial aid to offset additional cost above tuition and fees.  You can view our cost of attendances on the Office of Financial Aid’s website.

For non-residents

Students admitted as non-Ohio residents will be assessed a non-resident surcharge but they are eligible to apply for reclassification as a state resident for tuition purposes. To be eligible, students must provide documentation proving they have resided in Ohio for at least one calendar year and are financially independent of any out-of-state sources, in addition to meeting other documentation requirements. See more about Ohio residency reclassification on the University’s Registrar’s site.

Leave of absence or withdrawal

When a student declares a leave of absence or withdraws from classes during the academic year, a portion of tuition charged may be eligible for a refund. In addition, all financial aid disbursed is subject to be returned based on the date of last attendance. All fees are non-refundable after the first day of classes.

For the detailed tuition and/or fee refund policy, please see the NEOMED Tuition, Fees and Insurance Refund Policy.

To understand how an enrollment change can affect your financial aid eligibility, please see the Return of Title IV and Institutional Aid Policy.

Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018

In accordance to the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, NEOMED will refrain from issuing any late fee penalties, an accounting hold placed on their account or registration of students if there is a delay in the disbursement of GI Bill ® benefits. In addition, NEOMED will not require students to access Title IV federal financial aid funds (i.e. Federal Direct Unsubsidized and Grad PLUS Loans) to cover their balance while waiting for the disbursement of GI Bill ® benefits. Students will have the option to borrow Title IV loans if they so desire and have the flexibility of returning them once their GI Bill ® benefits disburse.

If a student’s GI Bill ® benefits do not cover the full mandatory fee’s assessed or cannot cover options fees assessed, the student is liable to pay the remaining balance in accordance to NEOMED’s payment policy.  In cases when fees not covered by GI Bill ® benefits are not paid in a timely manner, the student is liable for late fee penalties, as well as an Accounting hold and deregistration.
