Professional Development Programming

The Office of Student Success supports the professional development of all pharmacy students by providing opportunities for students to explore various pharmacy career paths, interact with potential employers, participate in advocacy and diversity, equity, and inclusion activities, and participate in career-focused workshops and other professional development events.

Upcoming professional development events can be found in CampusGroups, many of which require the student to register. Attending professional development programming is an important component of the Professional Development and Advising Team (PDAT) Program and Pharmacy Co-Curriculum.   Be sure to collaborate with your PDAT advisor as you peruse different co-curricular opportunities. They can have helpful guidance on which opportunities might fit best for your personal and professional goals!

PHARMACY CAREER & EXPERIENTIAL EXPO

October 6, 2023

The Career & Experiential Expo is the premier professional development event held annually by the Office of Student Success and the Office of Experiential. This day-long program includes:

• Career & Experiential Expo: Employers and residency sites staff resource tables to speak with students about pharmacy internship and post-graduation opportunities. All pharmacy students are required to attend this event.
• P4 Student Interviews: Students schedule 1-on-1 interviews with potential employers and residency sites. Interviews can be in-person or virtual.
• CV/Resume/Letter of Intent/Cover Letter Review: Residents are available to review current student CV/resumes or Letters of Intent and provide feedback. Reviews are by appointment only.
